2017 Seattle Design Festival Miller Hayashi Art Installation:  Did You Notice?

September 11, 2017

Did You Notice? is an installation for the 2017 Seattle Design Festival that asks passersby to engage with and comment on the Design Review process. The series of three thresholds represent memory, public action and comment, and proposed development. Each tier of the exhibit morphs to become larger and more towering as a conceptualization of the effects of the Proposed Land Use Action board. As the questions are answered, the final threshold is ‘densfied’ with opinions of how the public process can better serve the Seattle community. Miller Hayashi partnered with Vanishing Seattle for this exhibit.
